This traditional two-bedroom cottage sleeps up to four people, and is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is centrally heated, with free wifi.

A cosy place to come home to

The living room has two comfortable sofas with side tables, a living flame effect electric fire in a feature local stone fireplace, a smart TV with firestick, and a large selection of fiction books and walking books, maps and guides. The large window looks out over the enclosed garden, where you can watch the many small birds that like to visit. Our favourite art is on the walls, including an original painting of the lakeland mountain Great Gable by well known local artist Venus Griffiths. There are candlesticks and candles on the mantelpiece, for a relaxing evening at home.

A kitchen made for relaxed holidays

Cook and eat while looking out over the park towards the fells. The kitchen is very well equipped, and includes a dining table with four chairs for comfortable meals together.

Two comfortable bedrooms

The large king-size bedroom has views over the garden and towards Catbells in the distance. The twin bedroom looks out towards Latrigg and Skiddaw, and those sleeping here will wake to the peaceful sound and sight of the River Greta below. Both bedrooms are very quiet. The cottage is suitable for couples, families or two friends.

Outside

There is a landscaped terraced garden to the rear, a beautiful spot for breakfast, tea or a glass of wine in the evenings while listening to the birds. At the lane-side, there is a small courtyard garden with stone seating where you can take off your boots after a hike, or just sit and watch the world go by. There is private parking on the drive.
