⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 'This is our 3rd visit to High Skydes, we have previously stayed in February but this year we stayed in August. The house is perfect any time of year, it is in a brilliant location, tucked away with beautiful views, but also a short stroll into town with plenty of choices for shopping or restaurants. It is beautifully clean and well equipped with everything you could need, plus it has parking and a secure garden, it really is a hidden gem!'

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 'We always have a lovely holiday when staying at High Skydes. This is reflected in the large number of years that we have returned. The cottage is beautiful, providing all that you need for a throughly enjoyable stay. The cottage is excellently equipped and even has a small garden for sitting out in the evening and also benefits from having off road parking spaces. It is in the centre of Keswick next to Fitz Park which contains a great childrens' playground as well as hosting cricket matches and some Concerts in the Park which we enjoy. As keen walkers, the cottage offers an excellent base for our walks up local mountains and around Derwentwater. We are also be sure of being able to park at the cottage when we have travelled outside Keswick to valleys such as Borrowdale (for the longer walks) and also to neighbouring towns. We can thoroughly recommend High Skydes and have already booked ahead for 2027.'

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 'We have stayed in this cottage for about 6 years now, we love the location and the fact there is a parking spot. It is ideal for most locations and for walking. The town centre is a short walk away. The cottage has everything we need for a lovely comfortable stay, feels like home from home.'

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 'Lovely cottage not far from Keswick main street, with everything you need for a very comfortable stay away from home, abundance of shops, cafes, pubs, parks & lake nearby, private parking, dog friendly, lovely cottage garden, enclosed garden & would highly recommend a stay here. We've stayed here for quite a few years now & always pleased to be back.'

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 'High Skydes is a home from home. It has everything you need for your holiday - books and maps for local walks, a good TV, lots of kitchen equipment and a dishwasher. The view from the kitchen and dining area is across the river to the park and the fells which is great, and the back garden gets lots of birds. The beds are comfortable and it is a very quiet street so you can get a good night's sleep. The parking next to the cottage is very handy and it is easy to unload in to the hallway. It is in a good location close to Fitz Park and the shops. My children don't want to stay anywhere else.'
